Mapfumo Matimba is an Associate of the firm. He is a Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer and Notary Public. Mapfumo is a senior tax specialist with 14 years’ experience at the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA), including five years in senior technical roles focused on tax strategy, legislative drafting, interpretation and implementation; and complex tax dispute resolution. He brings rare, practical insight into how tax law is applied and enforced, enabling him to advise confidently on high-value, technically complex tax matters. He also has seven years’ labour law experience, having acted as a senior trade unionist and disciplinary hearing panelist, allowing him to advise on corporate, labour and tax issues. He holds an LLB from the University of South Africa and a BCom (Honours) in Accounting from Great Zimbabwe University, combining legal, accounting and commercial expertise to serve large corporates and sophisticated clients with complex tax, corporate and regulatory needs.
